What is it?

The Classic Holidays “Exchange & Play” system is exclusive to members of Classic Holidays managed resorts/clubs. The Exchange & Play system is powered by industry leaders Dial an Exchange with offices located in Australia, New Zealand, USA and UK. It combines the best features and value for money of other timeshare exchange systems.

The “Exchange” system entitles our members to priority exchange of their weeks within the group (internal exchange) and at other timeshare resorts worldwide (external exchange). Our system allows you to bank your week for up to 3 years and advance use your next year’s entitlement.  

The “Play” system enables our members to exchange their weeks for tourism and leisure products such as car hire, savings on cruises, escorted coach tours and so much more. The “Playground” will continue to grow as we add more features.

Terms & Conditions of Exchange & Play

The Terms of Your Deposit
Classic Holidays will accept a Exchange & Play members deposit week up to eight (8) weeks prior to the expiration date (or check-in date) of the week.
Credit – Exchange & Play (Bank & Save option).

We will gladly bank weeks for you and as a member with Classic Holidays; you will be issued with a “Credit – Exchange Certificate”. This Credit – Exchange Certificate is valid for three (3) years from the end of the entitlement year, and is available for you to exchange against at a future date. You are reminded to request early and make sure you get a confirmed exchange reservation against this Credit before the expiry date. Our Cancellation Policy.

We understand that circumstances sometimes change and plans are altered at the last minute. Where we can, we will always try our best to accommodate special circumstances once you have paid for your confirmed exchange. Classic Holidays offers members the option of taking out a “Cancellation Protection Option” (CPO) at the time of accepting an exchange offer. The cost of the CPO is published on our web site: www.classicholidayclub.com.au. “CPO” is not available on Bonus Weeks or any other “special” or “promotional offers”. We ask members to be fair and use “CPO” for its intended purpose, and not to misuse it. “Cancellation Protection Option” (CPO) can not be used to cancel a confirmed exchange reservation and then rebook the same holiday as either a Bonus offer or a Promotional offer. Conditional upon Classic Holidays receiving cancellation advice from the member, a minimum of 72 hours prior to the check in date, the following rules apply.

Accepting CPO.
If you need to cancel your exchange holiday, your banked week will be saved for you to use at a later date (up to the original expiry date of your Credit). There will be 'no charge' for the replacement exchange. You have the option of accepting CPO and paying the additional CPO fee on the replacement exchange reservation. No monetary refunds are allowed on cancellations. Replacement exchange must be taken up within 24 months of the cancellation date.

Declining CPO.
If you decline CPO at the time of confirming your exchange, the following cancellation policy applies. The exchange fee will be forfeited regardless of the notice given of the cancelled exchange. Cancellation of a confirmed exchange includes any change to dates to a booking. The exchange week (Credit – Exchange Certificate); Cancellations made less than four (4) weeks ahead of the check in date; unfortunately under these circumstances you will also forfeit the week deposited against your exchange .Cancellation of Bonus Time & Rental Reservations. CPO does not apply to Bonus Weeks, Rental Reservations or any other “special” or “promotional” offers. Once paid, you will forfeit the full price if you cancel these reservations.Cancellation Bonus Time / Rental Weeks.

When you exchange your timeshare week at another resort, or accept a Bonus week or any other promotional offer at a resort booked through Classic Holidays, you are still responsible to abide by the rules and regulations of the host exchange resort. If you are allowing guests to use your time, remember YOU are responsible for their actions.1. All transactions are between Classic Holidays and its members; (not the member’s guest). The ‘on selling for profit’ of confirmed accommodation space provided by Classic Holidays or a third party provider to the member, is not permitted or allowed under any circumstances. All confirmations are noted with the name of the person to check-in at the destinations resort. If for any reason this is to change the member, (not the member’s guest), must contact Classic Holidays and advise the change to the original confirmation details. A new confirmation will be issued by Classic holidays and the destination resort will be notified accordingly. 2. The accommodation or timeshare unit must be left in the same condition as when you first arrived – “Clean & Tidy”. 3. Any breakages/damages must be reported immediately to resort staff and you are responsible for the cost of repairs or replacement of items damaged. 4. The Exchangee and or Guest is responsible for any charges incurred at the resort during the holiday – telephone, tours and the like which are charged to your room. 5. Respect the privacy of other guests staying at the resort. Treat the facilities and other owners, as you would wish you, your family and guests to be treated.
